Dr. Helen Foster

Practice Owner

Dr. Helen Foster graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2008. She opened Bickford Park Animal Hospital in 2012 because she lives in and loves this neighbourhood and community. She lives with her husband Jeff, her children: Emma, William, Charlie, and her forever angel Emmet. Her furry family members include Sammy the Goldendoodle, and George and Izzie her barn rescue cats.

Dr. Helen loves to chat and develop lasting relationships with her furry patients and their families. Her main areas of interest are preventive medicine, palliative care, and dermatology. But she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and loves that she gets to learn something new every day.

She spends her free time frolicking in the park with her kids and dog. Watching documentaries and foreign detective shows with a nice glass of wine.

Dr. Courtney Nardangeli

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Courtney Nardangeli completed her undergraduate degree at McMaster University, and went on to complete her DVM at the University College of Dublin in Ireland where she enjoyed traveling to new places regularly. Dr. Courtney has a variety of interests including internal medicine and neurology. She enjoys new and challenging cases and the investigation of finding the answers, in order to help guide her patients care. She is known as the bulldog specialist due to her love of the breed and can be seen cuddling any new patient to the clinic. Dr. Courtney spends her time off doing Olympic weight lifting and hiking with her rescue dog, Lake. She can be regularly seen at a Blue Jay game, as she is a season ticket holder and loves Dollar Dog Tuesdays.

Dr. Tara Brown

Associate Veterinarian

Tara is an Ontario Veterinary graduate and joined the Bickford Park Animal Hospital in 2022

In her free time, Tara likes to go on adventures with her Great Dane Gimli and her fiance Aidan. An avid reader, Tara loves to curl up and get lost in a good fantasy or romance book

While Tara enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, surgery, and building lasting, meaningful relationships with the clients are the part she loves most about being a vet.

In 2013 Tara decided to turn her love for animals into a new career and she went back to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She shares her home with her husband Jeff and their feline babies Elsa, Roger, and John John

Sam Fraumeni

Technician

Sam has been enjoying his passion working in the veterinary field for 10 years now. Sam grew up being surrounded by family dogs, which is where his love for caring for them came from. Outside of work Sam enjoys travelling, live music, and spending time with his partner Jay and 3 year old Bernedoodle - Forrest.

Tara Ram

Receptionist

Who is TARA?
She grew up on a small farm in southwestern Ontario. After years of being surrounded by pigs, goats and cows, she said time for a change! She headed straight for smaller companion animals and found solace in dogs and cats at Bickford Park. She does still mix it up a little having a Ball Python at home named Gandalf the White and his sidekick Nyx, the curious Maine Coon. When Tara isn't ordering your 17 jumbo bags of Hypoallergenic (I'm so sorry the system only lets me order two at a time xD) she can be found flexing her artistic muscle painting at home and gaming online. She has dominated the front desk for several years now and can be easily identified by her tell tale laugh.

Luz Vergara

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

What's in a name? Luz, who you may know as Lucy will tell you it is about being easily recognizable and memorable. She wants to be easy to remember and to ask for, with a happy smile and a friendly attitude she will be happy to help you and your furry baby(ies) with whatever you may need. Currently in the works of starting her own at home reptile zoo, she is the happy mother of snakes and geckos to three Royal Ball Pythons, and three mischievous Crested Geckos. Those crazy morphs will have you in line for a ticket at the door to see their exotic beauty, and to uncover misinformation about the wonderful and gentle creatures they truly are.
